ADAM’S APPLE REDUCTION
Chondroplasty thyroid consists in reducing the prominence that produces the leading edge of the thyroid cartilage, called colloquially “Adam’s apple” and is a proper secondary male sexual character.
The surgery is performed under general or local anesthesia with sedation, in solitary day hospital (the patient leaves the hospital the same day of the operation).
The technique involves, through a small incision in the midline of the neck, milling the anterior edge of the thyroid cartilage. The length of it is 30-40 minutes and the aesthetic result is immediate.
